The eclipse<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The competition track The Eclipse<\/strong> is one of the iconic slopes in the Courchevel ski area.<\/p>

Designed to host the world's biggest events, it has made a name for itself by becoming the venue for the Alpine Skiing World Cup Finals in March 2022, followed by the Alpine Skiing World Championships in February 2023.<\/p>

Carved out of the heart of the forest in the Le Praz sector, L'\u00c9clipse impresses with its demanding, technically challenging route and steep slopes that will put the world's best skiers to the test.<\/p>

Its name refers to the contrasts in light that skiers encounter throughout the 2-minute descent, alternating between the upper part exposed to the sun and the shaded areas in the forest on the lower part of the route.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

LE SAUT DU Z\u00c9NITH<\/strong>
The best downhillers in the world have already passed through four gates by the time they reach this hump.
A first jump, and a plunging view of Mont Blanc before diving into the next wall.<\/p>

THE SOUND WALL<\/strong>
You get there \u00abfull throttle\u00bb, after picking up speed at the top of the runway.<\/p>

THE \u00abS\u00bb IN AROLLES<\/strong>
A curve more than 200 metres long, which is one of the signature features of this track. With real chicanes that you won't always be able to see the exit!<\/p>

THE JOCKEYS' JUMP<\/strong>
This bump sends the pro skiers 50 m further and lands you on a steep, shaded section. This is undoubtedly the biggest jump on the Eclipse piste!<\/p>

THE BLACK HOLE<\/strong>
A most evocative name for a passage where you suddenly plunge into the shadows of the forest.<\/p>

THE BUX WALL<\/strong>
As the penultimate wall of the race, the most seasoned riders \u00ablet their horses loose\u00bb here, where the gradient reaches 58% at its maximum.<\/p>

THE FLY<\/strong>
Above the Olympic ski jumps of the
Praz, this jump propels the champions a little closer to the finish area.<\/p>


THE WALL OF THE BRAVE<\/strong>
