The competition track The Eclipse is one of the iconic slopes in the Courchevel ski area.
Designed to host the world's biggest events, it has made a name for itself by becoming the venue for the Alpine Skiing World Cup Finals in March 2022, followed by the Alpine Skiing World Championships in February 2023.
Carved out of the heart of the forest in the Le Praz sector, L'Éclipse impresses with its demanding, technically challenging route and steep slopes that will put the world's best skiers to the test.
Its name refers to the contrasts in light that skiers encounter throughout the 2-minute descent, alternating between the upper part exposed to the sun and the shaded areas in the forest on the lower part of the route.
